TEAM USA Wednesday update:
The 3 dance teams’ placements in the Short Dance are Aldridge/Eaton 3rd (56.89), McNamara/Carpenter 8th (51.80) and Hawayek/Baker 11th (49.63) of 35 teams. Top 20 advance to the Free Dance on Friday.
The 3 pairs’ finished as follows: H. Denney/Frazier 3rd (52.61), Calalang/Sidhu 8th (45.72) and Simpson/Blackmer 9th (43.16) of 16 teams, all of whom advance to tomorrow’s FS.
TEAM USA Thursday update:
The USA men finish top 3 in the SP — Farris (75.84, new PB), Omori (70.82, new PB!), Brown (70.06, new SB!) — and sweep the ISU small medals!
GOLD for Haven Denney & Brandon Frazier! USA pairs finish 1st (103.22 2nd in FS & 155.83 total are new ISU personal bests!), Calalang/Sidhu 9th (87.29 FS, 133.01 total), Simpson/Blackmer 10th (78.35 FS, 121.51 total).
TEAM USA Friday update:
USA ladies hold 2 of the top 3 spots after the SP — Cesario 1st (54.69), Hicks 3rd (53.98) and Siraj 13th (47.65).
BRONZE for the second consecutive year for Aldridge/Eaton! They scored 82.44 2nd in FD, 139.33 total. 7th overall are Hawayek/Baker (74.72 6th in FD, 124.35) and 9th McNamara/Carpenter (69.47 11th FD, 121.27).
TEAM USA Saturday update:
USA men sweep the medals! GOLD for Joshua Farris (154.09 FS, 228.32), SILVER for Jason Brown (154.09 won FS, 224.15) & BRONZE for Shotaro Omori (133.52, 204.34) – hearty congratulations to all 3 as they set new ISU personal best FS & Total scores in Milan!
USA ladies: 4th for Cesario (154.55, 99.86 FS), 5th for Hicks (152.92, 98.94 FS), and 11th for Siraj (139.08, 91.43 FS). Cesario skated a stirring performance to “Black Swan” but 5 of her jumps, including 4 of her 6 triples, were called under-rotated by the technical panel.
